love is deep as the road is long
and moves my feet to carry on
Galilah is honestly way too sensitive for his own good. He manifested magic when he was very young and quickly focused it on healing, only becoming stronger when a strange brown jay approached him at fourteen and bonded as his familiar. As soon as he was able to he began traveling to help other people throughout all of Valise and quickly garnered a reputation. He helps people with an uncanny mix of magic and science; he carries enormous satchels with various medical supplies but his tricky hands are good at fixing what his tools cannot. His familiar Orem is a sharp-tongue bird prone to selfishness and aggression when Gal isn't. He's a lot more frank than Gal and is 100% more willing to start a fight at any given time. Gal is soft-hearted and not necessarily naive but always wanting to believe that people will surprise him and do good. He is happy to give anybody who asks a shoulder to cry on ro a second chance. He's a loyal, driven friend who will protect strangers as passionately as friends. He's short but built rather broad and surprisingly well muscled.
Gal isn't really dumb but he's certainly not book smart. He's smart when it comes to people; reading body language, picking up on things unsaid. He understood the fates long before they suspected anything of him. The brothers share a 'common room' in their minds when they pool their mentalities; it is not something they can leave or exclude thoughts and feelings from. They're good at mimicking regular people for short durations but not for very long, as they forget to speak out loud. Gal figured it out a week and a half after they saved his bacon from a bunch of bandits but didn't say anything about it because he assumed it was rude. It's quite hard to miss, after traveling with them; the brothers are hyperaware of each other, don't frequently talk aloud, and sometimes look at him like they've said something mentally that they expected him to hear. Gal assumes it's a magic connection and doesn't pry past that. He has many opportunities to help people traveling with the fates and they've invited him along for as long as he'd like so he'll likely accompany them for a long time.
