The old Wells' place is the only working farm for miles and miles. It kept its name because the Wells kids all survived the virus and they run the farm still. The farm is a good place to take a breather; Boone is the only person with even minimal medical training in all of the City and its surrounding wilderness and they are never too stingy to help strangers. Folks come and stay when they need to rest because the farm is quiet and they don't ask of people the things the gang does. While the farm has survived by being rather isolated it's stayed upright this long because the siblings all strengthened the fences as soon as they were old enough to manage it. The twins, Chauncey and Calhoun, go out into the City and the nearby neighbourhoods to look for supplies and survivors often, and they regularly trade food with the gang. It's a balancing act the three of them have gotten good at. |
